How to Use Brainwave Entrainmet

With our 6 years of experience in customer service, we studied the questions and problems our customers had and concluded some tips on how to use brainwave entrainment to the maximum. Hope you can enjoy it and learn something.

When to listen?

The brainwave sessions from The Unexplainable Store cover all the 4 brainwave ranges (Beta, Alpha, Theta and Delta). And each recording's range is specified under the name of the product in the "Purchase Now" box on the individual sales pages. Once you know each recording’s range, please check the following guidelines:

Beta- Awake alert and active
Alpha- Very comfortable but conscious and aware
Theta- You are dreamy not able to physically function without flaws
Delta- You should be lying down comfortably and you may go all the way down to Sleep

Attention: Don't exercise while listening to Delta - Don't sleep while listening to Beta. Never operate anything dangerous when listening.

Based on the chart above, we know that Delta and Theta should be played right before you are about to fall asleep. You can listen to Alpha and Beta during the day when you want.

How often and how long to listen to the recording?

There is no set rule. It all depends on how comfortable you are with the recording. We have customers using on a daily basis, and others once every other day. It also takes time for your brain to get used to an altered state of mind, so start with once a day. If you feel comfortable, you may listen twice a day. When your brain enters the altered state, you can use the recording less frequently, and eventually not using t at all. We recommend keeping your listening hours to under 3 per day.

Other tips:

Listen to them when you will not be disturbed.

It doesn’t matter if anyone else is in the room with you but the point is to make sure you will not be disturbed for the entire length of the brainwave session. The next thing is to turn off all electronics (except for the device you are using to listen to them). That means no television, no radio, no computer, no telephone, etc. All of these things will hinder your ability to relax and tune into the subconscious mind. Use your brainwave sessions time as a time for quiet, relaxation and no outside distractions or influences.

Close your eyes when you listen to your brainwave recording.

Once again this has to do with shutting out the outside world. When our eyes are open we are continually using the conscious mind to take in our surroundings and this can make it very difficult to stop the mind chatter. If you can listen to the recordings with eyes closed, your results will be far greater. Of course, if you are more concentrated when your eyes are open, you can also open your eyes while enjoying the brainwave entrainment.

Allow yourself enough time to relax for a little while after you are finished your session.
Of course you do not have to sleep afterwards but it is nice to give yourself the time needed to digest your experience and come back to your current reality.

Listen regularly

For best results, you should listen to your recordings regularly, as the effects can be cumulative. So do your best to set some time aside each day to listen. It might seem hard to make this time at first, but once you’ve got into the habit, you’ll find you don’t want to miss it.

Listen in a suitable environment

You’ll want to wear comfortable clothing (even with the help of brainwave entrainment, it’s hard to get into a relaxed state when your waistband is too tight!), and have a comfortable surface to sit or lie down on. Sitting upright in a supportive chair might be the best option, as many people find they drift off to sleep if they lie down. But it’s best to experiment and find what works for you.

Get the volume right

Brainwave entrainment recordings need to be audible to be effective. However you shouldn’t make the mistake of turning them up too loud, as this can result in a headache. So make sure you listen at a comfortable volume, especially when you’re using headphones.

Give it time

You need patience and consistency. While many people do experience fantastic results from brainwave entrainment recordings the very first time they listen, this isn’t always the case. Does this mean the recording is a dud, or that brainwave synchronization just doesn’t work for you? Not necessarily. Sometimes it takes several sessions with a recording to bring the full benefits. Also, some people appear to be more resistant to the effects of Isochronic tones and other brainwave entrainment methods. If you’re one of them, this doesn’t mean it’ll never work for you, just that you might need to give it more time and effort than others. At least give a recording a few weeks of consistent use before writing it off.

How Can Brainwave Entrainment Improve Your Life?

How you’re feeling at this given moment is a byproduct of your brainwave activity. Every state of consciousness that you experience is a result of Beta, Alpha, Theta, and Delta brainwaves. It is important to understand that no brainwave pattern takes over your brain at any given moment. All brainwaves: (Beta, Alpha, Theta, Delta, and gamma) are active in your brain at all times. However, one of these patterns is usually dominant over the others. This dominant pattern is responsible for your state of awareness.

Healthy individuals often shift throughout all brainwave patterns throughout the day. As you fully wake up in the morning, your brain shifts to a dominant Beta brainwave pattern and usually stays in that pattern if you are doing mentally demanding work. As you come back from work and wind down with some relaxation (i.e. watching T.V.) – you begin producing more Alpha waves. As soon as you close your eyes before bed, your brain shifts to a completely dominant Alpha brainwave pattern, sometimes accompanied by Theta waves. As you sleep, Theta brainwaves kick in when you have a dream (R.E.M. Sleep) and Delta waves become the dominant rhythm during the deepest, most restorative sleep.

What many individuals don’t understand is the fact that they can consciously access the Alpha state and Theta state of awareness and remain conscious. It has been suggested that highly successful individuals are able to control their brainwave states, even if they are unaware of doing so.

Unfortunately, the majority of people live their lives getting pushed around by their own brainwaves – having no control whatsoever. This makes people unconsciously react to situations based on their state of mind instead of being in the driver’s seat of their own mind – able to shift to a desirable state or alternate perspective.

The key to solving your life’s “problems” (I prefer the term “challenges”) lies in your awareness – which can be shifted by altering your brainwave patterns with brainwave entrainment. You can learn to slow down your brainwaves from high-Beta to calming Alpha brainwaves. You can learn to access Theta waves for a deep, inner connection with your subconscious mind. You can increase the quality of your sleep, boost your focus, and improve your athletic performance with brainwave technology. You can also use brainwave technology to experience altered states of consciousness or access a state of awareness that you’ve never gotten the chance to experience.

For a starter, brainwave entrainment is massively relaxing and therapeutic. The very act of brainwave entraining increases production of "happy chemicals" in the body; anxiety levels go down and happiness goes up; sleep is improved; mood improves; muscles relax; and overall it just feels super nice.

Additionally, brainwave entrainment is a fabulous tool for people who are interested in (a) how far they can grow and develop themselves, and (b) who want to access higher levels of consciousness and induce the state of flow.

Many of our customers have testified that the personal manipulation of their brainwave patterns had greatly improved their life situation. They are able to think more efficiently, focus on goals, experience relaxation, connect with deeper parts of their spirits, and have access to whatever states of consciousness they choose.

Isochronic Tones

What are Isochronic tones?

Isochronic tones, also referred to as Rhythmic Entrainment uses audio entrainment pulses to entrain the brain; a single tone that is cycled on and off to produce the beat. The main advantage of using Isochronic tones over Binaural beats is that they do not require stereo headphones for effective entrainment. It has also been claimed that the brain adapts to, and as a result filters out Binaural beats with prolonged use, and although there is some research that supports this hypothesis, there is still conflicting evidence over this claim.

How do Isochronic tones work?

Isochronic tones are the most powerful type of brainwave entrainment, utilizing equal intensity tones, increasing the pulse speed, and synchronizing your brain with the rhythm. Isochronic tones use a distinct and clean wave form which is designed to harmonize with the brain much more efficiently. Headphones are optional but recommended.

One of the main advantages of Isochronic tones over Binaural beats is that they do not require the use of headphones. Binaural beats must be listened to with headphones so that the Binaural frequencies are interpreted by the brain in such a way that the entrainment process is effective. With Isochronics, only one tone is played, but it is turned on and off again in a repeated pattern. For this reason, some people argue that Isochronic tones are more effective than Binaural beats because they rely on a simpler auditory processing function.

Here are the features of Isochronic tones:

a) Uses equal intensity tones, increasing the pulse speed
b) Distinct and clean wave form synchronizing your brain with the rhythm Harmonizes with the brain much more efficiently, very successful in raising or lowering the frequency
c) No headphone/ear buds required.
d) Highly recommended

Isochronic tones are more effective than Binaural beats in 2 ways!

The brain has a natural tendency to follow, or entrain to rhythmic sound pulses. It allows Isochronic tones to create a powerful, consistent state of entrainment that does not “wear off” over time. The pulsed tones must be audible for these effects to occur, and consistent use of Isochronic tones will literally train your brain to move into the entrainment state as soon as you hear the tones.

Since Isochronic tones do not require headphone/ear buds, customers with bad hearing are also feel the results.

Binaural brainwaves

There are three main methods currently used for brainwave entrainment; Binaural Betas, Monaural Beats and Isochronic Tones. We will focus on introducing Binaural Beats and Isochronic Tones.

What are Binaural beats?

Binaural Beats are not a passing fad, but have been researched for over 170 years. Binaural beats have become the most widely known and used form of aural brainwave entrainment. They are very effective in helping you to achieve altered states of consciousness but not as effective as monaural beats or Isochronic tones. The Binaural beats will come in either an MP3 download or on a CD and are to be listened to while sitting quietly with a pair of headphones.

How Binaural Beats work?

Binaural Beats work by broadcasting two separate frequencies in each ear. For example, if you wanted to tune your brain to a 7 Hz frequency, you could play 200 Hz in your right ear, and 207 Hz in your left ear. The brain will compensate for the difference between the two and produce a third tone that will be exactly 7 Hz. This will result in your brain frequency being raised or lowered, and tuned to the desired operating stage. Headphones are mandatory with Binaural beats. Notice the narrow sound wave and its lack of uniform.  Certainly a good technology, but it has room for improvement.

Here are the features of Binaural Beats:

a) 2 separate frequencies are broadcast in each ear
b) Brain creates a third tone that compensates for the difference between the two
c) Stereo headphone/ear buds required!
d) Recommended

Binaural beats reportedly influence the brain in more subtle ways through the entrainment of brainwaves and have been claimed to reduce anxiety and to provide other health benefits such as control over pain.

Binaural beat stimulation has been used fairly extensively in attempts to induce a variety of states of consciousness, and there has been some work done in regards to the effects of these stimuli on relaxation, focus, attention, and states of consciousness. Studies have shown that with repeated training to distinguish close frequency sounds that a plastic reorganization of the brain occurs for the trained frequencies and is capable of asymmetric hemispheric balancing.

How Sleep Deprivation Effects Your Life?

It is reported that, 6 in 10 Americans have sleep problems. A lack of sleep may take many negative effects to our health physically and mentally, which threatening our life.

Negative Effects On Physical Health

1. Dramatically weaken your immune system.

Our immune system is pretty complex. It includes several types of cells and proteins that are charged with keeping foreign invaders such as colds or flu at bay. When we are sleep deprived, our "good cells" in immune system will go down, and the "bad cells", such as inflammatory cytokines will go up, and we will be ill.

2. Aging Faster.

As we all know, our brain can release Growth Hormone, which makes us look and feel younger. Just because of this, many people especially girls seeking ways to increase release of Growth Hormone. However, the Growth Hormone release only when we are in deep sleeping. Growth Hormone decreased when you are lack of sleep, it turns out that chronic sleep loss can lead to lackluster skin, fine lines, and dark circles under the eyes.

3. Weight Gain.

Many studies show that, adults who sleep less than five or six hours a night are at higher risk of being overweight. There is a strong bond between sleep and weight. Sleep researchers from the University of Colorado found that, when people weren’t getting enough sleep they overate carbohydrates. They ate more food, and when they ate food also changed. They ate a smaller breakfast and they ate a lot more after dinner. So, given enough time, please who sleep less become fatter and fatter.

Negative Effects On Mental Health

Sleep Deprivation will increase the risk of depression. A study showed that, the people who have a history of insomnia are four times as likely to develop major depression. Besides, there are evidence showed that, insomnia also be a risk factor for Bipolar disorder, Anxiety disorders and ADHD.

While, get a good night sleep is simple, never do the following 8 things before sleep:

1. Exercise
2. Watch TV/Surf the Web
3. Take a Hot Shower/Bath
4. Drink Too Many Fluids
5. Work
6. Read Engrossing Stories
7. Cuddle With Your Pets
8. Have Serious Conversations

A good night’s sleep is the base stone of our health bodies, it’s time to say goodbye to your impaired sleep. You deserve an Easy Breathing, Restful Sleep and Healthy Body!
