How Sleep Deprivation Effects Your Life?

It is reported that, 6 in 10 Americans have sleep problems. A lack of sleep may take many negative effects to our health physically and mentally, which threatening our life.

Negative Effects On Physical Health 

1. Dramatically weaken your immune system. 

Our immune system is pretty complex. It includes several types of cells and proteins that are charged with keeping foreign invaders such as colds or flu at bay. When we are sleep deprived, our "good cells" in immune system will go down, and the "bad cells", such as inflammatory cytokines will go up, and we will be ill.

2. Aging Faster. 

As we all know, our brain can release Growth Hormone, which makes us look and feel younger. Just because of this, many people especially girls seeking ways to increase release of Growth Hormone. However, the Growth Hormone release only when we are in deep sleeping. Growth Hormone decreased when you are lack of sleep, it turns out that chronic sleep loss can lead to lackluster skin, fine lines, and dark circles under the eyes.

3. Weight Gain.

Many studies show that, adults who sleep less than five or six hours a night are at higher risk of being overweight. There is a strong bond between sleep and weight. Sleep researchers from the University of Colorado found that, when people weren’t getting enough sleep they overate carbohydrates. They ate more food, and when they ate food also changed. They ate a smaller breakfast and they ate a lot more after dinner. So, given enough time, please who sleep less become fatter and fatter.
